The Q&A Archives: Pruning Foxgloves

Question: It is Feb. in zone 8.and my foxgloves remainded bushy &green through the winter. Should I cut them back or leave them. If yes, How?

Answer: Foxgloves normally retain a rosette of foliage. If they are the perennial type and bloomed last year, remove the tall flower stem by trimming it off at the base. Otherwise, remove only any badly tattered foliage and leave the rest alone.
