Can one make a small garden waterfall using water pressure from a garden hose only without using an electric pump?

You could use a garden hose, but you would have to run fresh water nonstop whenever the fall is in operation -- this takes an amazing number of gallons per hour. I suppose you could also use a siphon, but again you would still need a new supply of water from somewhere. The advantage to using the pump is that you recirculate the same water over and over.
