I'm not sure if this is the type of question I should ask you, but when picking eggplant how do you determine if it has a lot of seeds. I particularly dislike seeds in eggplant (cucumbers too). Any suggestions would be helpful.

Overly mature eggplant will have more prominent seeds, but some varieties are also known for being less seeded than others. You might try "Purple Rain" which is nearly seedless. Seedless varieties of cucumber also exist. You might try "Big Burpless" which is seedless if grown away from other cucumbers. Both are available from Burpee (800-888-1447).
