Answer: Anacampseros rufescens is native to dry areas of South Africa and is grown as a houseplant. It is however happy with cool winter temperatures to say 45 or 50 degrees. It is diminutive, growing only a few inches tall and blooming on stalks about twice that height. The flowers may last only a few hours so be alert when it blooms! It requires full sun and very little water as for cactus.
