We purchased a home with a large vineyard. We cut back the vines in the fall& found we have a 6 foot space inbetween the vines. If we use the 2 wire method to maintain the vines could we plant some garden veg&&herbs in the center space?

Herbs and vegetables need full sun to grow their best, and the vines will grow very large in the course of the season and will shade the area in between them. You will also need to walk there to maintain and harvest the grapes. In addition, you may need to spray the vines in order to grow good quality grapes and the edible plants would be in range of the overspray and drift. You also do not know if there is soil residue from any previous spraying (or herbicide) program. In my experience it is not usually recommended to grow other plants in between the vines.
