Can I cut back my grasses now and how high above the ground should I cut them? |
If the leaves on your ornamental grasses have turned tannish-brown, cut them down to the soil level. If you're growing blue-fescue or other grasses that do not go dormant during the winter, simply pull the old blades out, leaving the healthy blades behind. I usually trim back my ornamental grasses in the early spring just as new growth begins. |
