I have composted potato peelings and scraps of tomatos and peppers in one of my raised bed areas for three years. This year I would like to plant my raspberries in that area. What special preparation should I give the soil to protect the raspberries from diseases caused by those three vegetables?

Assuming you did not place diseased material in the compost and assuming it is all well rotted by the time you plant, I would not expect you to need to take special steps any more than you would when using traditional home- made compost. I would expect your raspberries to grow very nicely there, though!
