I co-facilitate a horticuture therapy/work training group for 12-21 year olds who have mental health issues. We are raising organic greens for market. We would like to have a curriculum which we can use to teach our clients, and that we can use to assess their knowledge. Do you know of any sources for this information? Many of our clients receive special education at school. |
I think an excellent local resource for you is the WSU King County Cooperative Extension. They have Master Gardener, Family Nutrition, Community Horticulture and 4-H information available (free or at a nominal charge), plus trained volunteers who may already have experience working with special needs youth and adults. Contact them at (206) 205-8616 and see what they have to offer. Good luck with your project! |
