| I am looking for an appropriate shade tree to plant with in 5 feet of a concrete walkway. I would prefer one with a good canopy. I like the looks of sycamores, but prefer an evergreen tree. |

All grow well in your gardening zone and the roots are reported to be "sidewalk friendly" and should not invade the walkway. |
