Freesia grows from corms, and provide richly fragrant flowers. Plant 2" deep with the pointed end up, in a sunny or partly shady spot in well-draining soil and water regularly during growth and bloom. When the plants stop blooming the foliage dries up. After a short resting period new foliage and flowers will appear. Most are planted in the fall but you can start the plants from seed sown in July and August. Seeded plants will bloom the following spring.
