My tomatoes have little (brown) bugs on the flowers and the vines. Is there anything I can do to rid my plants of these bugs without using a harsh chemical or pesticide?

Since we don't know for sure what these bugs are, the best course of action is to wash them off with a strong stream of water from the hose. If these pests are destructive in nature, a population of good bugs may very well appear later in the season to help reduce the number of bad bugs in the garden. If you refrain from using pesticides, you'll increase the likelihood of good insects taking up residence in your tomato patch.
