I BOUGHT A HOLLYHOCK 2 YEARS AGO. IT BLOOMED BEATIFUL THE FIRST YEAR THIS PAST SUMMER IT NEVER CAME UP. WHAT HAPPENED? |
Although occasionally a plant will live for several years, often hollyhocks grow as biennials. This means they grow for a season and winter over, then bloom their second season and after blooming, set seed and die off. Ideally there should then be seedlings to replace the original plant and continue the display. I suspect this is what happened to your plant. |
