Last fall I hung my geraniums in the basement. After putting them in pots & under lights they all sprouted leaves almost over night, but then they began shriveling up from the base of the stems. Can you tell me what I did wrong? |
It sounds as though they may have gotten too much water. Generally the stems are cut down to within a few inches of the roots, and when the roots are repotted the plant grows new stems. Geraniums like soil on the dry side. You can withhold water and cut the shriveled stems off in the hopes that the roots are still healthy enough to produce new stems. Hope this does the trick! |
