When is the best time to plant azaleas?

Most trees and shrubs establish quickly when planted in the early spring (after the last frost in your area), or in the autumn. Transplanting at these times allows natural rainfall to keep the roots moist, and cooler air temperatures to reduce stress and help them make a quick adjustment to their new home.
