Answer: Anthurium likes average household warmth (minimum 60F in winter), bright - but not direct sunlight - and damp soil. Mist the leaves once or twice a day. It's not an easy plant to grow, but if it's happy an Anthurium will bloom from spring through summer.
You shouldn't have to transplant your anthurium for quite a while. When it becomes overgrown, new plants are established by digging the entire plant, then dividing the roots and potting up the separated pieces. When separating, be sure that each piece has roots - they won't develop roots on their own once separated from the parent plant, so don't try to root them in water.
