I looking to plant some bulbs in the ground next to my window in the basement of an apartment building. I was wondering what annuals you reccomend, (we will only get 1/2 day's worth of sunlight) and when is the best time to plants those flowers. I live in Philadelphia, and it is all ready getting warm. |
Normally, spring flowering bulbs are planted in the fall, so that is something to keep in mind for the coming season. Some annual flowers to consider now if your sun is in the morning would be impatiens, fibrous rooted begonias, or marigolds. If your sun is in the afternoon, try zinnias, marigolds, or salvia. These would all be planted once frost is no longer a danger. |
