I admired a vine in a local garden. The gardener told mine it was called "Australian Pea Vine." The gardener has moved away. I'd like to have them in my garden. I've since come upon the name "dolichos lignosus" or "dipogon lignosus" as the botanical name, but I haven't been able to find anyone who is selling the seed. Can someone lead me in the right direction?

Dolichos is alternately called Hyacinth Bean or Australian Pea Vine. A member of the legume family, this plant is a summer climber with pea-like flowers. Seeds are available under the names Dolichos lablab, or D. l. 'Ruby Moon' from Thompson & Morgan, Inc., PO Box 1308, Jackson, NJ 08527-0308. Phone 800-274-7333.
