I recently purchased elephant ears and have no way of knowing which way the bulbs are to be planted in the ground. I can not visibly see what is top or bottom. I do not know if they are planted up and down or length-wise.

Plant the tubers with the flat part down, about 4" below the soil surface. A sprout will appear from the narrow, slightly pointed end.
