The Q&A Archives: Okra Roots Ball Up

Question: My okra plants ball up at the root, and do not produce, why?

Answer: Your plants are probably suffering from root knot nematodes. To avoid this you need to be careful to rotate your plantings and, since you know that spot is affected, you might try soil solarization on that spot to try to control it.
