Last year I was given a small seedling by a neighbor she called it an eggplant. This was not a vegetable but as it grew it had pretty little purple flowers and where each flower died off an actual egg appeared. These things looked just like chicken eggs hanging off of this plant. What is this things name? I would like to grow more but have not seen them anywhere.

Your plant is sometimes marketed under the name "Easter Egg Plant". It's actually a member of the eggplant family (Aubergine) and is bred to produce baby fruits. You can purchase seeds of 'Mini Bambino Hybrid' eggplant from Thompson & Morgan, Inc., PO Box 1308, Jackson, NJ 08527-0308. Phone 800-274-7333.
