I am planning on starting a Butterfly Garden but am undecided on where to place the garden. My question is if my neighbor has zoysia grass and if place my garden next to her fence the grass grows under the fence. Will this choke my plants and butterfly bush.

Zoysia grass can be an invasive pest in both non-zoysia lawns and in flower beds and yes it can choke out your flowers. You will need to make a physical barrier between the two and keep a vigilant eye against encroachment.
