Each year I have plenty of flowers for flower arangements but no greenery to go with them. What kind of plants, ferns, or shrubs should I plant that would work well in a flower arangement? |
Japanese painted fern would be ideal; its one-foot silvery green fronds with wine red midribs would look lovely in a bouquet. Artemisia 'Silver King' is another good foliage plant for bouquets, with feathery silver foliage. Also lamb's ears (Stachys), dusty miller (Senecia maritima), garden sage, hosta leaves, and iris leaves. Useful shrubs include burning bush (Euonymus alata) for its brilliant fall foliage, boxwood, American arborvitae, juniper, and pine. |
