I was looking through your catalog to choose tomato seeds that I would like to plant this season. Could you explain the difference between indeterminate & determinate? |
Determinate varieties have little fresh growth once fruit sets. They produce most of the tomatoes in a short period, thus are good for canning projects, for example. Indeterminate varieties will continue to put out new shoots and blossoms even after fruit has set. It has a longer producing season, which is nice for eating fresh tomatoes. |
