I just purchased the new White Marigolds from Burpee and am wondering if I can plant them in pots instead of in the ground?

Marigolds love to camp out in containers! Be sure the pots have drainage holes in the bottoms, and fill with moistened potting soil (regular garden soil dries out quickly, can be hard to re-wet and is very heavy when wet).

Situate your marigolds in the sunniest site available, and water when the soil begins to dry out. If you pinch off the faded blooms, you'll get many more new blossoms throughout the season.
