| Wait until the seed capsule is swollen and beginning to burst open. Plant the seeds immediately in a barely damp seed starting mix and keep in a warm location; gentle bottom heat may help. The seeds have a cerys hort shelf life and for this reason the bulbs are usually propagated by offset rather than seed -- this also ensures that the progeny are similar to the parents. To grow them on, treat as you would any amaryllis in active growth, supplying ample bright light and keeping the soil slightly moist. |
