I guess my original question was erased, so here we go again.
do you sell orris root?
What actually is orris root? Would it grow in Wisconsin?
I'm using it for a potpourri project.

Orris root is actually taken from the Florentine Iris, Iris germanica florentina and it is grown just like the bearded or German iris in full sun and well drained soil. It should grow as far north as zone 3. The flowers are a pale grayish white and the overall plant is relatively small. The root or rhizome is what is used as a fixative. Often it is purchased in powdered form, but Richter's Herbs ( http://www.richters.com/ ) offers the plants as well.
