I just recently bought some bromeliad plants for the pre-school I work at and got to wondering whether they could be poisonous. Is it safe to have these plants out or should I get rid of them?

Bromeliads are not on any poisonous plant list that I can find, but that doesn't mean that the plant parts are considered edible. If you place the bromeliads out of reach of your pre-schoolers, high enough so they'll be able to enjoy looking - but without having easy access, you'll lessen the risk of anyone breaking off leaves or flower spikes and accidently swallowing them.
