During the weekend of March 11th, I purchased two dwarf peach trees from the nursery to plant in my back yard. I was just wondering what the life span was for a dwarf peach tree. |
Unfortunately, peach trees are known for their short life span rather than longevity. The reasons for this are varied because peaches are subject to a wide variety of insect and disease problems. The best you can do is follow a routine maintenance program and make sure they become well established at the outset by watering them carefully for at least the first year or two. Your County Extension (547-3711) should be able to provide you with instructions for caring for and troubleshooting your trees on a routine basis. |
