| We purchased our Silver Maple tree before the leaves emerged. From the very first year to now, about 3 years, the leaves are small and crippled looking covered with red bumps. We sprayed the tee with some kind of dormant oil the second Spring but that did not seem to help. Could you offer a suggestion? |
| Unfortunately, based on your description, I am unable to definitely identify the problem with your maple so I can't recommend a solution. Maples are potentially subject to a number of foliar problems, some of which can be serious. You might wish to consult with your county extension (378-1327) as to a specific identification of the problem and the most up to date controls, if any, being recommended for it in your area. |
