I would like to move some hostas and day lilies to a more visible location. The hostas are just now starting to break ground, as are the day lilies. Can I start the moving process now, or should I wait until more growth appears above ground?

The sooner you move them, the better although both of these plants are fairly forgiving when it comes to transplanting. Try to take the entire root ball with them when you do it and make sure they are well watered afterwards.
