Erodium, or cranesbill seeds should be started outdoors, directly in the garden bed. The seeds germinate readily when sown 1/8" deep in well-draining soil. Seedlings should appear 14-21 days after sowing. Cranesbill grows in full sun or light shade and prefers dryish, fast-draining soil.
