The Q&A Archives: Flowers For Sunny Spots

Question: What annual flowering plant would you suggest I plant for color in a full sun area which is 30 feet long and 15" wide?

Answer: There are so many possibilities, are you sure you want to plant just one type of annual? How about a mixture of flowers? You can mix and match for a riot of summer color. Try one or more of the following sun-lovers: Callistephus chinensis (China aster), Celosia (cockscomb), Concolculus tricolor (dwarf morning glory), Coreopsis, Cosmos, Lisianthus, Gaillardia, Helichrysum (strawflower), Nicotiana, Petunia, Salvia, Marigold, or Zinnia.
