Is it possible to grow lilacs (trees or bushes) in West Central Florida? If so, what type or kind would be best?

Lynne,

Unfortunately lilacs suffer in the Deep South and are poorly adapted. As an alternative shrub you might consider crape myrtle (pretty but lacks the fragrance) or Buddlea davidii (pretty and fragrant).
