The Q&A Archives: Planting Distance for Boxwood Shrubs

Question: How far apart do I need to plant boxwood shrubs in order to form a border for a walkway?

Answer: Dolores,

That depends somewhat on the soil and growing conditions and on how fast you want them to fill in and form a solid hedgerow. A good average would be about 4 feet apart.
