I would like another perennial to plant with my asiatic lillies that bloom all summer. The lillies by themselves look long and spindly. The area is a semi shady spot.

You might try some of the taller perennial geraniums which bloom heavily in spring followed by occasional blooms and are happy in partial shade. You might also try columbines or coral bells or lady's mantle which have attractive, textured foliage all summer and grow nicely in partial shade.
