What would you suggest to add color to a pool
area with full sun, and crushed stone over sand?
There is no soil so I had hoped to use some
tropical plants in containers such as
Bromeliads. Any help would be appreciated!

Go tropical around the pool with containers of hibiscus and bougainvillea which should bloom all summer. Use intense colors with oranges, hot pinks, purples and reds for the best tropical feel. For height and a real island look, add a banana tree. It's the trendiest look in pool gardens right now! All three types of plants can be wintered over as house plants.
