| I am looking for a flowering vine that can be planted in a container. Ideally, one that would twist up through the railing of my balcony. The area gets 6-7 hours of sun, but most of the time it is filtered by the railing and the eave of the balcony. I tried Cardinal Climber Vine to no avail. It started off great indoors but when I moved it outside it didn't grow and eventually fell over. Would night blooming jasmine work? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you! |
| Some vines you might consider include yellow trumpet vine (Anemopaegma chamberlaynii), Bougainvillea, evergreen Clematis, Honeysuckle, Jasmine, and flame vine (Pyrostegia venusta. Plants growing in containers require water more frequently than those growing in the ground, so check your plant daily and water as needed. When fertilizing, it's best to dilute to half-strength and feed twice as often so you don't run the risk of burning the roots of your container grown vine.
