My question involves pruning of a Trumpet Vine. Should they be pruned each spring, and back how far? Do
they need any special fertilizer or care?

To control its size or to encourage a denser vining pattern or to encourage more blooming shoots, trim trumpet vine back hard in late winter or early spring. In general they are undemanding plants once established. They prefer full sun and average soil; you might give it some compost and/or a complete granular fertilizer (follow label instructions) in early spring.
