Annuals For A Walkway - Knowledgebase Question

I have a walkway. some filtered sun because of a tree.
and not very much sun for Rochester NY,lots of clouds.
Tulips that were planted last year,are comming up just fine.
What annuals could I plant after the tulips die in the late
spring?

Some annuals to experiment with and see what does best for you in that lighting might be impatiens, coleus and bedding begonias. These will tolerate quite a range of shade conditions. If the tree is also competing with the plants for nutrients and moisture as would be likely with a maple for instance, you might consider using one or two large planters or half barrels rather than trying to plant them in the ground.
