I have a walkway. some filtered sun because of a tree. and not very much sun for Rochester NY,lots of clouds. Tulips that were planted last year, are comming up just fine. What annuals could I plant after the tulips die in the late spring? |
Some annuals to experiment with and see what does best for you in that lighting might be impatiens, coleus and bedding begonias. These will tolerate quite a range of shade conditions. If the tree is also competing with the plants for nutrients and moisture as would be likely with a maple for instance, you might consider using one or two large planters or half barrels rather than trying to plant them in the ground. |
