When planting hollhocks doe it matter which way the bulb is put in the ground and if it does which way does it grow best? |
I am a little bit confused by your question. Hollyhocks grow from a crown rather than from a bulb, so I am not sure which plant you really have. Bulbs are always planted "pointy end up" so that the roots grow downward; crowns would be planted with any growth tips or shoots facing up and any roots facing down. The crown should end up at about the same level as it grew before, meaning not too deep and not too high, just about at the surface. I hope this helps. |
