The Q&A Archives: Growing Bell Peppers on a Lattice

Question: Can bell peppers be grown up a lattice? Rowena R. Richmond Franklin, OH

Answer: Since bell peppers aren't a vine, but rather grow in the form of a bush, you won't be able to train them to grow up a lattice. Many tomato, cucumber and other squash, and bean varieties are vines, and could be trained to a trellis.
