I have two very large pine tree's in my back yard. Grass does not grow under them. I would like to put a large plant bed under the pines. My question is what can I plant under these trees that will survive and/or take away the eye sore there now?

Try large plantings or a mix of these ground covers which should do well under your pines: Ajuga (Bugleweed), Heuchera (Alumroot), Lamium (Spotted Deadnettle), or Doronicum (Leopard's Bane).
