Answer: Buttercups make up the family Ranunculaceae. The tall buttercup is classified as Ranunculus acris, the bulbous buttercup as Ranunculus bulbosus, the cursed crowfoot as Ranunculus sceleratus, and the small-flowered buttercup as Ranunculus abortivus.
