Buttercups make up the family Ranunculaceae. The tall buttercup is classified as Ranunculus acris, the bulbous buttercup as Ranunculus bulbosus, the cursed crowfoot as Ranunculus sceleratus, and the small-flowered buttercup as Ranunculus abortivus.

Seeds are available from Thompson & Morgan, Inc., PO Box 1308, Jackson, NJ 08527-0308. Phone 800-274-7333.
