| I think you might be asking about the yucca plant, a sort of fleshy crown of spiky foliage that sends up a tall stem or candelabra of white blooms in summer? If so, you can propagate it by digging and separating off an offset, one of the smaller side crowns or pups next to the central crown or root. Early spring would be a good time to try doing that. Dig straight down next to the center stem and take a side piece with its own root as best you can. Replant into prepared soil in a sunny location and keep lightly moist (not soggy) until it becomes established. |
