I am considering planting Liriope on a hill on the side of my house and have been told that it can be invasive. How can it be controlled so that it does not take over my lawn beyond the hilly area that I would like to contain it to?

If you are using the spreading form of liriope, the best way to control it is an annual root pruning at the edge of the planting so that you maintain a cut edge or moat between it and the lawn. You can also try using a physical barrier such as plastic or metal edging, but it must be substantially deeper than usual stop this plant.
