What type of fertilizer or plant food should be used on outdoor yucca plants?

Yuccas are generally very sturdy plants and would not as a rule require much fertilizer, if any, in average to good soil. However, you might apply some compost and/or a balanced fertilizer (such as 10-10-10 or 5-10-5) according to the label instructions in early spring.
