The Q&A Archives: Wisteria Buds Damaged by Frost

Question: My wisteria vine blossoms were nipped by frost. Will it bloom this spring?

Answer: The standard blue/violet Wisteria sets bloom buds in late summer for spring bloom. When these open up and bloom that is it for the season. Unless there are some late buds that just had not opened at the time of the frost, no it would not. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
