The Q&A Archives: Book With Colored Images Of House Plants

Question: We have a few new plants in our home and unfortunately, they are not identified. I'd like to know the name and care of these plants. A book with colored pictures would be a great help.

Answer: A good general reference book about is "Houseplants for Dummies" by Larry Hodgson, ISBN 0-7645-5102-7, Dummy Press. In it you will find general care recommendations, detailed instructions for most of the houseplants you are likely to find and an "A to Z" photo gallery of the more common ones. Your local library may also have a nice selection including some about the more specialized houseplants.
