Oenothera, or evening primrose seeds can be sown outdoors now, or in individual peat pots indoors. Barely cover the seeds and keep warm. Seedlings will sprout in 5-30 days when kept at 65F-70F. Provide a garden site in full sun or light shade for your evening primrose. The plants grow best in sandy, fast-draining soils.

Pinch back spent flowering stems to keep plants looking neat.
