Arenaria balearica, or corsican sandwort formas a dense mat to 3" hight with thick, glossy oval leaves. It grows best in shade with lots of water. This plant is often used as a lawn substitute, but can become invasive, so contain it carefully.

Flats of this groundcover should be available from Sky Nursery, 18528 Aurora Ave. N, Seattle WA 98133. Phone (206) 546-4851.
